Take thirty thirsty ISSBA members, a table of nibbles and delicious Memorable Cheeses, one knowledgeable expert and six types of wines and what do you have? A very enjoyable networking event with a cheese and wine tasting thrown in!
Thank you to Remedy and The Training Experts for their sponsorship and to everyone who helped to make the event at Epsilon House such a successful evening. Jonathan Hare from Wine of Interest interpreted the brief of “Wines for Clients ….and Family and Friends” with his usual expertise and came up with three whites and three reds, the merits of which were hotly debated by those testing their taste-buds.
Any clients benefiting from wine as gifts this Christmas should be very appreciative!
Pictures are now online in the photo gallery found under the events tab at the top of the page.
ISSBA is delighted to welcome Chris Barnard, Managing Director of The Training Experts Ltd, as the new Chair.
Walk on ISSBA’s behalf and help raise £10,000 for EACH. See Events page for further details.
Trinity Park is offering ISSBA members a special small unit size of 3mx3m square suitable for small businesses and their budget at the Suffolk Show on 2nd and 3rd June. Minimum stand sizes are generally larger than this.
Three parliamentary contenders for the Ipswich seat – Chris Mole (Labour), Ben Gummer (Conservative) and Mark Dyson (Lib Dem) - will be facing the audience along with Duncan Brodie, business editor of the East Anglian Daily Times and Julie West, who as chief executive of Tastes of Anglia is the voice of regional food and drink producers. In true “Question Time” style, the panellists have no prior knowledge of the questions. The debate is being chaired by experienced broadcaster and independent facilitator, Rachel Sloane. Doors open at 12.30 at Trinity Park on 28th April and it’s first come, first served for ISSBA and Chamber of Commerce members. If you can’t get a seat, then all’s not lost because the debate is also being relayed live into the main exhibition hall.
