10th October is World Mental Health Day. Every year organisations, groups, communities and individuals mark the day in their own ways. Some use it to raise awareness, others might fundraise, while some might more consciously offer support to some they know is struggling.
This year’s theme is ‘workplace mental health’. Suffolk Mind delivers training to businesses across Suffolk, and much further afield, to upskill line managers, support teams and create better working environments through The Mental Health Toolkit. We offer a wide range of workshops, courses and programmes designed to be practical and empowering. We’ve also recently launched our award-winning e-learning platform, the E-Toolkit, enabling anyone to access support and training anywhere, any time. Find out more about our training on our website www.thementalhealthtoolkit.co.uk
Suffolk Mind has also had a very busy few weeks of fundraising events. Our recent skydive and the Ipswich Half marathon raised more than £33,000 – thank you to every single skydiver and runner.
We’re also looking forward to our first Colour Rush on Saturday 5th October at Trinity Park. We will see 500 people, adults and children, run through seven colour powder stations to raise money for Suffolk Mind. We hope this will be the first of many successful and colourful events.
Thank you again to everyone who supports Suffolk Mind, either as an advocate, business or fundraiser.
